Goals
Today’s workshop goals include:
· Concept-building: Further developing the concept of what it means to be a "diaspora" organization conducting aid and development efforts in Guatemala;
· Capacity-building: Increase capacity to develop and implement projects focusing on: o Identifying stakeholders and partners; o Planning your project and presenting your project to a donor; o Identifying and developing internal community resources and external resources; o Increasing technical know-how in social and economic-development project areas.
· Planning next steps: Discuss projects; workshops in Guatemala and Florida; a working group to help develop future workshops. WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

Parking: Due to a game that is schedule to take place at 1:00 PM at the stadium and risk that cars without FAU stickers are likely to be ticketed, we advise you to park across the street.

The MacArthur Campus is located at 5353 Parkside Drive, just east of I-95.
From I-95: Take Exit 83 (Donald Ross Road) east to Parkside Drive. Turn left, going north on Parkside Drive. Then turn right onto University Blvd. The parking area consists of a parking garage on the left hand side of University Blvd. You will need to cross University Blvd. to the FAU campus.
From Florida’s Turnpike:
From the south: Take Exit 109 (Palm Beach Gardens). Go east on PGA Blvd. to Central Blvd. Turn left, go north to Donald Ross Road. Turn left, go west to Parkside Drive. Turn right, going north on Parkside Drive. Then turn right onto University Blvd. The parking area consists of a parking garage on the left hand side of University Blvd. You will need to cross University Blvd. to the FAU campus.
From the north: Take Exit 116 (Jupiter). Go east to I-95. Go south to Exit 83 (Donald Ross Road). Go east to Parkside Drive. Turn left, going north on Parkside Drive. Then turn right onto University Blvd. The parking area consists of a parking garage on the left hand side of University Blvd. You will need to cross University Blvd. to the FAU campus.
