· Augus, 2005 – Co-promoter of the Creation of the Sister City Agreement between the Town of Jupiter FL. and the Town of Jacaltenango, Guatemala.
· April, 2005 – Vicepresident of the Jupiter Resource Center El Sol to assist the working poor and their children.
· March, 2005 – Parents as Teacher National Ctr. Inc.; recipient of the “Parent Educator Certificate”, Miami FL.
· 2004 – Recipient of the “Dwight Allison Fellows Awards”, sponsored by the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties”.
· December, 2004 – The office of Florida’s Governor awarded me with a diploma for my voluntary work with FEMA, helping Hurricane victims.
· July, 2004 – I received a scholarship by the Mexican National Adult Education Institute: INEA which sponsored a training in Paztcuaro Michoacan, Mexico; on adult education for Latin American Immigrants in the U.S.
· March, 2004 – the Mexican Foreign Relations Secretary, IME, and SEP; sponsored a training and information in Mexico City, regarding educational programs for the Latin American Population in the U.S. I was an RCMA delegate.

· 1994 – Present; Board of Directors Member of the Guatemalan Maya Center, Lake Worth, Florida.
· 1993 – Awarded for my community services by The Alston/Banerman Fellowship Program, based in Baltimore, Maryland.
· 1992 – Participant at the World’s Ethnic Video Documentals demonstration; in Granada Spain, called “Mundos en Contraste” (Worlds in Contrast” presenting our video “Maya Fiesta” in Indiantown FL, produced and directed by Dr. Allan Burns, University of Florida, with my collaboration.
· 1985 – 1986 Co-founder of the Q’anjobal Maya People organization “Ixim” in Los Angeles.
· 1983 – Co-Founder of the non profit organization “Corn Maya”, for social services for immigrants and Guatemalan refugees; Indiantown, FL.
